Terms of Service
Effective October 17, 2026
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. THEY INCLUDE AN AGREEMENT TO RESOLVE DISPUTES THROUGH BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND A WAIVER OF CLASS ACTIONS AND JURY TRIALS (SEE DISPUTE RESOLUTION), AND THEY LIMIT OUR LIABILITY TO YOU.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Zuno (“Zuno”, “we”, “us” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of zuno.team, the Zuno apps, and every product, feature and service we offer (together, the “Service”).
You accept these Terms when you create an account, click or tap to agree to them, sign up through a page that says doing so means you agree, buy a paid plan, or use the Service in any way, including opening or editing a shared zuno without an account. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
If you use the Service for an organisation, you agree to these Terms for it, you confirm you’re authorised to do so, and “you” includes that organisation.
Our Privacy Policy, the plans, limits and prices shown on our pricing page or in the Service, and any other terms we show you for a particular feature are part of these Terms.
2. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we’ll tell you in advance, for example by email or a notice in the Service, at least 14 days before it takes effect, unless the change is needed sooner for legal, security or abuse reasons.
If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you don’t, stop using the Service and close your account. A change to the Dispute Resolution section won’t apply to a dispute we already knew about before the change.
3. Who can use Zuno
You must be at least 18 years old, and able to form a binding contract, to use the Service, with or without an account. By using it, you confirm that you are.
You may not use the Service if you’re barred from doing so under the laws of the United States or any other place that applies to you, if you’re on a U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties, if you’re located in a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or if we’ve previously suspended or removed your access.
4. Your account
You sign in through our sign-in provider (for example with an email and password, or a Google or GitHub account). You agree to give accurate information, keep it up to date, and keep your sign-in details secret. One account is for one person. Don’t share it, sell it, or let anyone else use it.
You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for the activity of anyone you let into your zunos. Tell us straight away at cory@coryglenn.ai if you think someone has got into your account without permission. We aren’t responsible for losses caused by someone using your sign-in, whether or not you knew about it.
5. Early access, capacity and changes to the Service
Zuno is a young service in active development. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed at any time, sometimes without notice, and some may be labelled early access, beta or experimental, which means they may not work as expected.
To keep the Service reliable, we may limit how many accounts can exist, close or pause sign-ups, keep a wait list, or limit use of any feature. Being on a wait list doesn’t entitle you to an account.
We don’t promise that the Service, or any feature, will be available at any particular time or at all, and we may stop offering the Service. If we stop it entirely, we’ll try to give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your zunos.
6. Plans and limits
Zuno has a free plan and one or more paid plans. Each plan has limits, for example on the number of zunos, file storage per zuno and per account, file downloads per month, and how many people can be in a zuno at once. The current limits are on our pricing page and in your account. They’re part of these Terms, and you agree not to try to get around them, for example by opening several accounts.
When you reach a limit, the Service may refuse new zunos or uploads, or pause downloads of your files until the limit resets, until you free up space, or until you change plans. We may change plans and limits, and we’ll give you notice before a change that reduces what you’ve already paid for.
The free plan is offered at our discretion, and we may change, limit or discontinue it. We may delete free accounts that haven’t been signed into for 12 months or more, after telling you at least 30 days beforehand.
7. Paid plans, billing and cancellation
Automatic renewal. Paid plans are subscriptions billed in advance, monthly or yearly, as you choose when you subscribe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and you authorise us (through our payment processor) to charge your payment method the price of your plan for each new month or year, until you cancel. If you subscribed earlier at a price you chose yourself, that price is what renews.
Changing plans. You can move to a bigger or smaller plan, or between monthly and yearly billing, from your Account page. The change applies straight away, and the difference for the rest of your current month or year is charged or credited on your next bill (prorated).
Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your Account page or the billing portal it links to. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your paid plan continues until the end of the month or year you’ve already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. Nothing in your account is deleted because you cancel, but anything beyond the free plan’s limits may become read-only until you’re back within them.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under its own terms. We don’t receive or store your full card number. You must provide a valid payment method you’re authorised to use. If a payment fails, we or Stripe may retry it, and we may suspend or downgrade your paid features until it succeeds.
Prices. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless we say otherwise and don’t include taxes, which you’re responsible for and which we may collect where the law requires. We may change prices for new subscriptions at any time. We won’t raise the price of an existing subscription without telling you at least 30 days in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable, including for partial months or years (apart from the credit for a plan change described above), unused features, and plans you cancelled or downgraded. We may choose to give a refund or credit in a particular case; doing so doesn’t oblige us to do it again.
Chargebacks. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us first, we may suspend your account while the dispute is open. Please write to cory@coryglenn.ai first; we’ll try to put it right.
Complimentary access. Access to a paid plan that we give without charge is at our discretion and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
8. Your content
“Content” means anything you or others put into the Service: zunos (the shared pages you make in it), titles, text, images, files, audio, video, templates and the like.
You keep ownership of the Content you create or upload. We don’t claim ownership of it.
The permission you give us. So that we can run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, process, back up, display and show your Content, and to make the technical copies and versions that requires (for example image previews, video posters, exports and checksums), only for operating, securing, supporting and improving the Service for you and the people you share with, and as the law requires. This licence ends when your Content is deleted from the Service, except for copies kept for the limited time described in Data, backups and deletion and copies we must keep by law.
What you promise. You confirm that you own your Content or have all the rights you need to put it into the Service and to let others you share it with use it, and that your Content and your use of it don’t break any law or these Terms, or infringe or misuse anyone’s rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy and publicity rights.
Your responsibility. You alone are responsible for your Content and for what happens when you share it. We don’t endorse any Content, and we aren’t responsible for Content that others put into the Service, including in zunos shared with you.
Encryption and access. Content is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is not end-to-end encrypted: our systems process it in readable form to merge everyone’s edits, show it, and run features. We and our service providers may access Content where needed to operate, secure or support the Service, to investigate a suspected breach of these Terms, or to comply with the law. If you need a higher level of confidentiality, encrypt your Content yourself before you add it.
9. Sharing and collaboration
Each zuno is owned by the account that created it. The owner chooses who can open it: anyone with the link can edit, anyone with the link can view, or only the owner. New zunos start as “anyone with the link can edit”. Anyone who has a zuno’s link, including people you never meant to share it with if it’s forwarded or posted, can open it under its current setting, with or without an account. You’re responsible for the setting you choose, for who you give links to, and for changing the setting if a link gets out.
When you edit a zuno someone else owns, you give the zuno’s owner and the other people with access to it permission to use, copy, change, export and delete what you added, and you understand the owner can remove your access, change your contributions, or delete the zuno at any time.
People in a zuno can see each other’s names, cursors, selections and pointer positions as they work. Guests appear with a temporary name.
We aren’t responsible for what other people do with zunos or links you share, or with Content they share with you.
10. Teams and Enterprise
Who’s who. A team is set up for an organisation (the “Customer”) by a person who becomes its first admin. If you set up a team or buy seats for an organisation, you confirm that you’re authorised to agree to these Terms for it, and these Terms then bind the Customer for the team, as well as you.
Seats and billing. Teams are billed per seat, monthly or yearly in advance, to the Customer’s payment method, and renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. Where Paid plans, billing and cancellation says “month”, read the billing period the Customer chose; everything else in it applies to teams too, including taxes, price changes and refunds. A team has at least the minimum number of seats shown when it’s bought. Seats added during a period are charged for the rest of that period, prorated, on the next invoice; seats removed are credited, prorated, against future invoices and aren’t refunded.
What admins can do. A team’s admins can invite people, remove them, make others admins, change the number of seats, manage billing and close the team. Anyone with the team’s invite link can join while there are free seats. Admins are responsible for who they give the link to, and can replace it at any time.
Your zunos on a team. Zunos you create belong to your account, including while you’re on a team. By joining a team, you agree that if an admin removes you from it, the admin may transfer the zunos your account owns to another member of the team, and that those zunos then belong to that member’s account. A team’s admins can see your name, email address, when you joined and how many zunos you own. If you want zunos that stay yours alone, keep them in a separate, personal account. While you’re on a team you can’t delete your account; an admin removes you first. If a team is closed, its billing stops at once with no refund for the rest of the period, and everyone keeps the zunos their own account owns.
The Customer’s responsibility. The Customer is responsible for how its admins and members use the Service; for giving its people any notice, and getting any consent, that the law or its own policies require for the admin controls described here (for example under employment or privacy law); and for its own rules about what its people may store in the Service. Any agreement between the Customer and its people is between them; we aren’t a party to it.
Enterprise. Enterprise teams are arranged with us directly and may be invoiced, including against a purchase order, instead of charged to a card. Invoices are due within 30 days of their date unless the invoice says otherwise, and we may suspend the team’s paid plan if an invoice is more than 30 days overdue after we’ve reminded the Customer. If an order form or agreement signed by us conflicts with these Terms, it governs for that Customer. Terms in a purchase order, vendor portal or similar document don’t apply unless we sign them.
When a team’s plan ends. If the team’s subscription ends, or a payment still fails after the retries, its members lose the team’s paid plan, and each account moves to the free plan (or to any plan its owner pays for), as described in Paid plans, billing and cancellation.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service, or let anyone else use it, to:
- break any law or regulation, or encourage or help anyone else to;
- upload, share or link to child sexual abuse material, or sexualise minors in any way. We report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement;
- infringe or misuse anyone’s copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk, defame, intimidate or incite violence or hatred against anyone, or share anyone’s private information without their permission;
- share content that promotes terrorism or violent extremism, or that is obscene, or gratuitously graphic or violent;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are or who you’re with, or mislead anyone about where Content came from;
- send spam, run phishing or scams, collect people’s information without consent, or use the Service for pyramid schemes or deceptive marketing;
- upload or spread malware, viruses or anything else designed to harm, disrupt or gain access to systems or data;
- access, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or get around any security, authentication, access control or usage limit, without our written permission (please report security issues to cory@coryglenn.ai);
- interfere with or overload the Service, for example with automated requests, scraping, crawling, load testing, or using it in a way that harms its performance for others;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the Service, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- use the Service as a general file host, content delivery network or public download site, for example by hot-linking files from it on other websites or distributing files to large audiences;
- open more than one free account, or use multiple accounts, to get around a plan’s limits;
- sell, resell, rent, sublicense or offer the Service to others, or build a competing product using it, without our written permission;
- mine cryptocurrency, or use the Service for anything it isn’t designed for in a way that consumes unusual resources;
- use the Service where its failure could lead to death, injury, or environmental or property damage.
12. Information that doesn’t belong in Zuno
The Service isn’t designed or certified for regulated or highly sensitive information. You agree not to put into it: protected health information under HIPAA; payment card data under PCI DSS; government ID, Social Security or financial account numbers; passwords or private keys for other systems; information about children under 13; information subject to export controls (such as ITAR or EAR); classified or criminal justice information; or any other information that the law requires to be specially protected. If you do, it’s at your own risk, and we have no responsibility for it.
13. Our right to act
We aren’t obliged to monitor or review Content or how the Service is used, but we may. We may, at our discretion and without notice where we think it’s necessary, remove or disable access to any Content, change a zuno’s sharing setting, limit features, suspend or close accounts, and preserve or disclose information, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law, puts anyone at risk, or exposes us or others to legal liability or harm. We may report suspected illegal activity to the authorities and cooperate with them.
To report Content or behaviour that breaks these Terms, write to cory@coryglenn.ai.
14. Copyright complaints
We respect copyright and respond to notices of claimed infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at cory@coryglenn.ai, including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
- the material you say is infringing, and where it is on the Service (the zuno’s link);
- your name, address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you’re the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
If your Content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with the information the DMCA requires. We may pass notices and counter-notices to the other party. Misrepresenting that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, can make you liable for damages.
We close the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
15. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or other feedback about the Service, we may use it freely, for any purpose, without paying you or owing you anything, and you give us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to do so.
16. Our rights in the Service
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, templates we provide, and the Zuno name, logos and other brand features, belongs to us and our licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. We keep all rights we don’t expressly give you. You may not use our name, logos or brand features without our written permission.
Templates in the Zuno template library are provided for you to use in your zunos; what you write in them is yours.
17. Other companies’ services
The Service relies on, and links to, services run by other companies, such as our sign-in provider (Auth0), payment processor (Stripe), hosting and storage provider (Amazon Web Services), our AI provider (Anthropic), which reads the pictures you scan with the camera button, and Google or GitHub if you sign in with them. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We aren’t responsible for third-party services, websites or content, including links that appear in zunos, and we don’t endorse them.
18. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share information about you. The Service is operated from, and your information is stored in, the United States. By using it, you agree to your information being transferred to and processed there.
19. Data, backups and deletion
We take reasonable measures to keep the Service running and your Content safe, including encryption and regular backups. But no service is perfect, and we don’t guarantee that Content will never be lost, damaged or exposed. You’re responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. Every zuno can be exported as a Markdown file at any time.
When you delete a zuno, it’s removed from the Service straight away. We may be able to recover it for up to 7 days if you ask, after which it’s permanently erased, apart from copies in backups, which are erased as those backups expire. Files no longer used in any zuno are deleted automatically after a short time. When you delete your account, the zunos you own are deleted in the same way.
We may keep some information after deletion where we need it to comply with the law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce these Terms.
20. Communications
You agree that we may communicate with you electronically, for example by email to the address on your account or by notices in the Service, and that electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement for communications to be in writing. These include messages about your account, billing, security and changes to these Terms. Notifications about changes to zunos are optional and you can turn them off at any time.
21. Ending your use of Zuno
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account from your Account page.
We may suspend or close your account, or your access to any part of the Service, at any time: immediately if you break these Terms, if you don’t pay, if we’re required to by law, or if we reasonably believe your use creates risk or possible legal exposure for us or anyone else; and otherwise for any reason, with notice where practical.
When your account is closed, your right to use the Service ends, and the zunos you own may be deleted as described in Data, backups and deletion. If we close your account without cause, we’ll refund any prepaid fees for the unused part of the month or year you paid for. Otherwise, no refund is due. Sections that by their nature should survive the end of these Terms survive, including Your content (the permissions you gave others), Feedback, Our rights, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnity, Dispute resolution, Governing law and General.
22. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT, TEMPLATES AND FEATURES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, Zuno DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
WE DON’T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, THAT EDITS WILL ALWAYS SYNC OR MERGE AS EXPECTED, THAT CONTENT WILL BE STORED WITHOUT LOSS OR CORRUPTION, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Nothing in the Service is professional, legal, medical, financial or other advice. Some places don’t allow certain warranties to be disclaimed; in those places, these disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted.
23. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NEITHER Zuno NOR ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, LICENSORS OR SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, BUSINESS, GOODWILL OR DATA, OR COSTS OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF WE’VE BEEN TOLD SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US$50).
These limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose, and they reflect the allocation of risk between you and us, which is an essential basis of our agreement. Some places don’t allow certain damages to be excluded or limited; in those places, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud.
24. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Zuno and its owners, officers, employees, contractors and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, penalties, fines, costs and expenses (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) arising out of or relating to your Content, your use of the Service, the zunos you share and the people you share them with, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law or anyone’s rights. We may take over the defence of any such claim at your expense, and you’ll cooperate with us. You won’t settle any claim that affects us without our written consent.
25. Dispute resolution: arbitration and class action waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your rights, including your right to go to court.
Talk to us first. Before starting a claim, you and we each agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. Send a written notice describing the dispute and the relief you want to cory@coryglenn.ai; we’ll send ours to the email address on your account. If the dispute isn’t resolved within 60 days of the notice, either of us may start a claim as described below. Any limitation period is paused while we try.
Binding individual arbitration. You and Zuno agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, including whether this section applies or is enforceable, will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, except as set out below. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect when the claim is filed (available at adr.org), before a single arbitrator. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Unless you and we agree otherwise, the arbitration will take place by video or telephone or on written submissions, or, if an in-person hearing is required, in the county where you live. Fees are paid as the AAA rules provide; if they would make arbitration prohibitively expensive for you, we’ll pay the share the arbitrator decides is necessary. The arbitrator may award any individual relief a court could, and the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
Exceptions. Either of us may (a) bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies and stays there; and (b) ask a court for an injunction or other equitable relief to stop infringement or misuse of intellectual property or unauthorised access to the Service.
No class actions or jury trials. YOU AND Zuno AGREE THAT EACH OF US MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING, AND YOU AND WE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims or preside over any form of class or representative proceeding, and may award relief only in favour of the individual party seeking it and only to the extent needed to resolve that party’s individual claim.
Many similar claims. If 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are brought against us by or with the help of the same or coordinated lawyers, they’ll be administered in batches of up to 25 under the AAA’s mass arbitration procedures, and you and we agree to this process to keep arbitration fair and efficient for everyone.
Time limit. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arose, or it’s permanently barred.
Your right to opt out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing cory@coryglenn.ai within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with your name, the email address on your account, and a clear statement that you’re opting out of arbitration. Opting out won’t affect any other part of these Terms.
If part of this section can’t be enforced. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be decided in court, not arbitration, and stayed until any arbitrable claims are decided. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
26. Governing law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Zuno has its principal place of business and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs the arbitration agreement. For any dispute that isn’t subject to arbitration, you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the state in which Zuno has its principal place of business, and waive any objection to that venue.
27. Export controls and sanctions
You agree to comply with all applicable export control and sanctions laws, and not to use, export or re-export the Service or any Content in breach of them, or for any purpose those laws prohibit.
28. Events beyond our control
We aren’t responsible for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages or failures of hosting, network, sign-in or payment providers, power or internet failures, cyberattacks, natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, government action, or changes in law.
29. General
- Whole agreement. These Terms, with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier agreements about it.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it’ll be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we don’t enforce a part of these Terms, that isn’t a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms or your account without our written consent. We may transfer them, for example as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
- Relationship. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between you and us.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms don’t give rights to anyone except you and us.
- Interpretation. Headings are for convenience only. “Including” means “including without limitation”. If these Terms are translated, the English version controls.
- Notices to us. Legal notices to us must be sent to cory@coryglenn.ai.
